Andrea Kuhn Boeshaar has been married for more than 30 years. She and her husband, Daniel, have three adult sons, daughters-in-law, and two precious grandchildren. Andrea's educational background includes the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, where she studied in English, and Alverno College where she studied in Professional Communications and Business Management.

Andrea has been writing stories and poems since she was a little girl; however, it wasn't until 1984 that she started submitting her work for publication. My Thoughts

Emily Sundberg has grown into a lovely lady though many of her schoolmates may remember her as a tomboy. That is until she turned thirteen and kissed her friend Jake Edgerton. Rumors starting spreading about that infamous kiss and she was sure Jake had told his friends.  She was treated differently by her schoolmates after that rumored kiss. Jake had only been visiting his grandfather for the summer so by the time the rumor got back to her Jake had returned home to Montana and she has not seen hide nor hair of him since.

Emily was able to move past the rumors and prove herself to be a proper lady and a great asset to her community  by becoming a schoolteacher.  She is also pursuing Andy Anderson as a potential husband.  But her thoughts keeps remembering Jake and the kiss that changed her life.

I was so excited to read book three of this series and was not disappointed.  I had grown attached to the characters.  The author kept Emily's character as sassy and under all the fluff and frill she was still the little tomboy wanting a kiss from Jake.  The author writes about how Lily and Jake made great choices for their future.  So, expect many fun twists and turns in this book along with some unexpected romances.

I highly recommend this book.

My Thoughts

Lydia Wyse has returned home to West Kootenai, Montana to attend her mother's funeral.  She plans to stay for a few weeks with her dad.  Her dad gives her a Promise Box that her mother had left for her, it was full of prayer and promises from the bible that were dear to her mother's heart for her daughter.  Lydia starts feeling changes in her pulling her back to the Amish ways. She thought she was happy living among the Englisch yet her heart is telling her different.  

Then there is the handsome Amish man,Gideon Hooley whom she met the first day she returned and knew there was something special about him that made her want to know him better. Could she take up the Amish way again? She is definitely feeling God drawing nearer to her leading her back home. 

I love this series and am so excited there will be seven books in this series. The author gives glimpses of several of the characters I fail in love with from book one and how they melted into book two as they befriended Lydia and Gideon and took a role in guiding them to a fulfilling life with God and their community of Amish and English living and growing together. The author writes of  many secrets that were holding these two character back from growing with God and showed them the truth and how the truth would set them free.

I highly recommend this book.

My Thoughts

Cora Kensington is forced to leave her mother and ailing father to spend time with her birth father, a wealthy copper king, that she had not even been aware of until he showed arrived unannounced at their Montana farm. She is to take time to get to know this man she refuses to claim as her father.  What shocked her the most was that her mother wanted her to go with him and spend time with him and her siblings she knew nothing about.  How can she leave her Papa and go off with Mr. Kensington?

She is to go on a Grand Tour of Europe with her siblings. Mr. Kensington told her if she does this he will pay for her to finish Normal School to become a teacher, which is her heart's desire.

When she meets her siblings they went out of their way to snub her.  She was not surprised, after all she was their father's illegitimate child, an interloper.  Mr. Kensington informs her he will not be going on the Grand Tour. Who will defend her from her very outspoken siblings?

Cora is introduced to Will  the very handsome tour guide and she realizes she has found a loyal friend.  Now she does not feel so alone. But Will has been warned that he is not to become romantically involved with any of the clients on the tour or he would be removed from the tour.

Cora is overwhelmed at all the beauty and decadence of the rich and famous while on their tour of England and France.  She will have good and bad memories to carry her through the rest of her life from this Grand Tour.

But will she be able to accept her birth father and will her siblings accept her as their sister?

The author has written a real page turner with healing grace, romance, suspense, mystery, and an abundance of history as Cora tours Europe.  I did not want to put the book down and was so glad I was able to pick up book two of the series to read more of Cora's Grand Tour.

I highly recommend this book.

My Thoughts
In 2000 Joel Smith and his best friend take a well needed break from term papers and decide to leave college behind and go hiking in Montana. When they arrive in Helena, Montana, a quaint little town, Joel notices a sign post reading Gold Mine. So against the wishes of his friend he sets off in his RAV4 to visit the Gold Mine. He enters the gold mine finding much more than he expected. But when he exits the mine he finds himself in the year 1941. His RAV4 and best friend are nowhere in sight. Facing this crazy predicament he realizes he has no idea how to get back to his on timeline.

With no way to buy food with his credit cards or even the cash he had he knew he would need to search for a job. Joel rides the rails like many hobos in his new timeline. He meets and makes many friends some possibly people he recognizes from his own time.

Don't let the book cover hold you back from reading this book. I kept putting off reading the book and as you know you can not judge a book by it's cover. It was an outstanding read about time travel  and dealing with the life and plight you are given.

This is not amateur writing. When I read the book I again was surprised at the talent of this author. You will want to read this book. Don't hold back I know you will enjoy this book.

I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I 've been giving some thought about how to capture the themes that run through  my long-time Dry Creek series. As many of you know, Dry Creek is a fictious small town in the southeastern corner of Montana. I was born in that corner of the state, but my parents moved from there when it was time for me and my sister to go to school. It was so isolated there was virtually no way for us to attend school once they closed the one room school that had served the few rural families for decades. I doubt there were more than fifteen in all eight grades of that school (I would know as my mother was the teacher and she brought me to school with her in a basket of some sort. I spent the first few years of my life in that school before I actually officially attended).

In any event, even though my family moved to a more prosperous part of the state, the feelings of that remote area are woven through of family's life and find their way into the stories I tell in my Dry Creek series. When it came time to do what I call 'a bigger promotion' of my books, I decided to write a song to talk about the values of that area. Fortunately, I have a good friend who was a professional musician 'in the day' and was eager to help me bring my lyrics to life. I now have a You Tube of that song.
